The Quebec studio Luminaire Authentik unveils FORMA, a made-to-order lighting collection that merges architectural thinking with material-driven design

Canadian lighting studio Luminaire Authentik has unveiled FORMA, a playful modular lighting collection designed to invite creativity and personality. Drawing on postmodern design cues, the collection reinterprets technical components as deliberate design gestures, using bold colour choices and geometric forms.
Founded in 2015 by Maude Rondeau, the Quebec-based label has built a reputation for made-to-order lighting that balances material integrity with understated elegance. Female-founded and locally driven, the studio champions thoughtful production methods alongside contemporary design, an ethos that is woven into FORMA.
Conceived as a flexible assembly system, the collection allows users to build, extend and reconfigure fixtures over time. Rather than concealing the mechanics traditionally hidden within architectural lighting, FORMA brings them to the surface. Connection points and structural elements are embraced as part of the design, lending each piece a distinct architectural presence.

Customisation sits at the core of the FORMA concept. Each fixture can be tailored through a range of finishes, glass globes, wiring options and colour selections, allowing the system to adapt across residential and commercial interiors alike. Options range from Glossy Lavender and Clay Red to a black Nocturne Lustré, creating an expressive palette and eye-catching effect.
What’s more, globe diffusers punctuate linear frameworks, while exposed wiring and hardware bring material honesty to each fixture. The result is a stunning collection that feels both industrial and sophisticated, beautifully balancing precision engineering with sculptural softness.
The launch also underscores the studio’s longstanding commitment to local manufacturing. Every Luminaire Authentik piece is designed and produced in the company’s workshop in Cowansville, Quebec, with raw materials sourced, wherever possible, within a 30-kilometre radius of the facility. This emphasis on proximity and craftsmanship informs the collection’s restrained material palette and timeless character.
