Ferm Living, one of Denmark’s most loved design homeware brands, has unveiled a newly refurbished London showroom. Reopening its space this month on Clerkenwell Road to coincide with Clerkenwell Design Week, the revamped space embraces a calm, muted palette that perfectly reflects the brand’s signature aesthetic.
Reflecting the company’s design philosophy, which centres on the idea that “life is full of contrasts” and that the home should be a calm, welcoming sanctuary, Ferm Living’s refreshed London showroom feels both inviting and lived in. Thoughtfully curated throughout, the space offers a natural extension of the brand’s warm, understated ethos.
Situated in the heart of Clerkenwell, London’s long-established design district, the four-storey showroom has been reimagined as a welcoming space that beautifully balances the effortless sensibility of Copenhagen with the grittiness and energy of the British capital.

Rather than serving as a traditional retail or display space, the redesigned showroom is arranged as a series of interconnected home-inspired settings that encourage visitors to explore at their own pace. Along the way, they’ll encounter some of Ferm Living’s most recognisable designs, including the lightweight, stackable Boda Dining Chair, the portable Arum lamp and the Can Lis Rico Lounge Chair.
Spanning four floors, the showroom places atmosphere at its heart. Layered materials, tactile surfaces and muted colour palettes give each space its own character while maintaining a cohesive whole, demonstrating how considered design choices can inspire and enrich everyday life.
Rather than being displayed as standalone pieces, furniture, lighting and accessories are arranged within carefully considered environments that feel homely and authentic. This lived-in comfort was key to the redesign, as Philipp Materna, Head of Brand & Design at Ferm Living, explains: ‘When we first took on the task of creating a showroom in London, we wanted to find a space that felt emblematic of the texture and quality of the city.’

‘The idea was to approach the renovation thoughtfully, subtly uplifting the historic character of the building while allowing it to remain grounded and refined as a launchpad for our world,’ he continues.
Placing a strong emphasis on the quality of materials and craftsmanship, every element of the showroom has been chosen to reflect Ferm Living’s balanced approach to the design process. From natural wood and stone to soft textiles and sculptural objects, the interiors showcase the Danish label’s commitment to creating pieces that last.
More than a design destination to browse new collections, the revamped showroom offers an opportunity to experience the Ferm Living universe firsthand. Blending Scandinavian simplicity with the edgy character of its London setting, it provides a welcoming place where visitors can experience the brand’s philosophy in practice, leaving inspired to create spaces that feel both personal and purposeful.
