Ipalyss washbasins from Ideal Standard’s Atelier Collection gets an injection of colour with an elegant palette
Ideal Standard, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of bathroom and washroom solutions for more than 100 years, introduces its new design-led range, Atelier Collections. Leveraging its broad manufacturing expertise with the unmatched skills of renowned Italian design studio Palomba Serafini Associati, the new collection aims to strengthen the brand’s “design philosophy” and shape bathrooms of the future.
Building on its strong heritage in design, Ideal Standard introduced the Ipalyss range of washbasins in 2017, designed by Studio Levien. Taking inspiration once again from the brand’s DNA, where colour played an important role, Ludovica and Roberto Palomba have developed a stylish new colour palette for this collection.
Since the 1960s and 1970s, colour has played a fundamental role for Ideal Standard, following the evolution of the bathroom from a simple functional space to a design environment. Under the artistic direction of Palomba Serafini Associati, colours are now revamped, with the introduction of a new and elegant palette for the Ipalyss washbasins.
The range features ten new colours, including Glossy Black, Slate, Kashmir, Sage, Pomegranate, along with Glossy White and Silk White, to offer a complete, inspiring palette, capable of conveying emotion in interior design. Some colours recall those used in the historical projects of Ideal Standard, with an elegant and contemporary touch; others are completely new, offering a perfect match with trendy contemporary materials, such as marble and stone.
Ipalyss is a range of washbasins characterised by a super slim design and extreme durability, both made possible by Ideal Standard’s Diamatec® technology. The revolutionary Diamatec® was developed using a unique blend of alumina and chamotte, the result is a new material that creates extraordinary looking ceramics, allowing designers to achieve the near impossible: very fine, thin, straight edges that is nonetheless extremely strong, and suitable for a wide range of demanding environments.
The Ipalyss range is particularly suitable for sophisticated residential and non-residential environments, where the perfect combination of aesthetics and durability is of paramount importance. The unique, thin design also maximises the width of the basin, enhancing the end-user experience.
Featuring different sizes and shapes – rectangular, oval and round – the Ipalyass washbasins are available without an overflow, for the neatest aesthetics, and with overflow, still perfectly integrated to fully preserve the linear and minimalist design.
