The founders of Russ and Henshaw tell us about the vibrant installation they created for Clerkenwell Design Week Last week, we met up with architects Lianne Russ and Phil Henshaw at the Tile Mile – a tiled passageway they created at St John’s Gate in Clerkenwell for the design festival. Taking inspiration from the famous Basilica Cistern in Istanbul and working with Turkishceramics, the architects brightened up this historic corner of London with a colourful pattern of tiles, which were reflected in mirrors on the gate’s arches. |
