PK1 & PK2

Category: Furnishings
Company: Studio Paulo Kobylka

The pk1 and pk2 sofas, designed by Brazilian architect Paulo Kobylka, take inspiration from structural elements in concrete, found in the architecture of buildings. Designed with simple lines, the sofas are purely structural. The sofas are assembled using three main pieces; the base, seat and back, and the mismatches between the pieces generate small spaces to house furnishings. When both sofas are joined at the ends, they create a single L-shaped unit, and the grey canvas finish refers to the structural parts of exposed concrete of buildings.
