Taboustool

Category: Seating
Company: LG Hausys

Belgian designer Thierry Wille brings us “Taboustool” (tabouret + stool), a seat which revisits vintage style in a modern and highly innovative way, reinterpreting the “tabouret”, a low stool without a backrest that was very popular in 17th-century France. The four flat legs support a “U” frame made of HI-MACS. The main structure is made of Hevea wood, from the rubber tree, which is among the most economical and ecological types of wood available on the market. The use of solid and hollow elements and the extensive space between the two ends of the armrest frame make Taboustool dynamic, “stable but light” and attractive.
