The Split chair from TON links more than 150-year-old technology with contemporary design. Designed by Arik Levy and born from the idea of bending wood to give it shape, split lengths of wood are used to support the seat and also the backrest of the chair. Skilled craftsmen use traditional wood-bending technology on ash or beech round wood to produce the chair; it can be formed, sanded, stained, lacquered and upholstered, if required. Levy also chose a special colour palette for the Split collection to highlight the gradient colour of the wood surface. Visit TON in Hall 12, stand C05.
