The Cyborg chair by MAGIS is not a new chair, but a chair made of new combinations. With a polycarbonate shell, different backs can be applied to the Cyborg chair, and now the latest version presents a curved and turned solid ash back, pictured. The term cyborg, coined in 1960 by Manfred Clynes, means to have both artificial and natural systems, and in the case of the Cyborg Stick chair, this is interpreted by the use of natural solid ash wood and the artificial polycarbonate fused together to make one piece.
