The shape of the Blom table lamp relies on the subtle interaction between its leaf-like parts, in the way a flower is formed by its petals. A cloth-covered cord provides a splash of colour and hint of nostalgia, while the modernist 1968-designed Rompitratta switch by Italian designer Achille Castiglioni and associates is recalled to rekindle awareness of such forgotten objects. The white shade petals are made from recyclable high-density polyethylene, while the legs are reconstituted veneer wood, made locally in Los Angeles.
