Tritium lights

Category: Lighting
Company: Margot Krasojevic Architects

The 3D-printed ceramic Tritium lights use acrylic photoluminescent strips that slide into grooved sections and guide light through the entire form. LED bulbs sit in a rubber wheel repositioned inside the structure; when the light radiating from the bulbs is slowly absorbed by the phosphorescent strips, it is re-emitted to create a surrounding glow. External ridges on the light have clips that house tritium glass phials, emitting light with a lifespan of ten years.
