Javelot (top image)
This is the lighting system I made for the Macro museum in Rome which I also designed. It’s meant to look as if it’s floating, or as if it’s flying through the air like a moving object, like the lightning bolt of Zeus.
Torqued Ellipse IV
This is my favourite sculpture. It’s really impressive because it’s a giant structure you can walk around and through. It’s an oval within an oval so you don’t know where you’re going, you can’t see round it when you’re in it.

Anton Corbijn/Milos Forman
Both films represent the correspondence between creativity and a person’s life. If I had to choose one, it would be Control because its energy reminds me of the late 1970s and 80s. When I saw it, I was transported back to that time and how it felt.
The horizon over the sea
The horizon is something you can see and you can travel towards it, and when you’re travelling by sea you think you’re going to get there but it’s always something in the distance, that keeps you moving.
Thomas Keller, Per Se
Thomas Keller has two restaurants, one in California and the other in New York. When a friend took me to the one in New York I discovered a dish called “Smoke”. It’s foie gras infused with coffee and tobacco. When it’s uncovered, the smoke gets in your skin and everywhere. It’s the most sensuous, voluptuous thing I’ve ever eaten.
