The Anatomy of a Building, a retrospective of the British modernist's work, opens today at his grade I-listed RCP building
An exhibition marking the centenary of the birth of British modernist Denys Lasdun opens at the Royal College of Physicians today (8 September 2014).
The retrospective traces the architect's career through images, sketches and models of his designs, including the Royal National Theatre, buildings at the Universities of London and Cambridge, the Keeling House flats in Bethnal Green and the RCP itself. It also presents a selection of his personal possessions, correspondence, memos and photographs.
The RCP, a grade I-listed modernist building in Regent's Park, is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year.
Above is a selection of images from the exhibition.
The exhibition runs until 13 February 2015 at the Royal College of Physicians, London NW1 4KE
