Forty years after his death, post-war architect Gio Ponti is the subject of a major retrospective at Rome’s MAXXI. Produced in collaboration with Ponti’s archive, the exhibition will deploy models, photographs and other objects to track his eclectic, ever-changing style, from the sleekly modernist Pirelli Tower in Milan to his cut-out-inspired cathedral in Taranto.
