Style: In Defence of...

A series of talks examining the content and context of six major architectural styles kicks off at the Sir John Soane’s Museum in London on 1 March. Across six sessions, leading proponents of high tech, brutalism, arts and crafts, metabolism, parametricism and no-style will defend their chosen subject and confront the audience with new ways of thinking about it, before opening up to an audience discussion. Speakers include Icon contributor Tim Abrahams, author and historian Barnabas Calder, Crafts Council creative director Annie Warbuton, lecturer Penny Lewis, architect Amin Taha and Zaha Hadid Architects’ principal Patrik Schumacher.
