Objection! Protest by Design

The exhibition aims to uncover the informal physical structures, built by the student protesters in Hong Kong in the autumn of 2014. The exhibition looks at barricades, shelters and installations, as well as appropriation of everyday objects, such as umbrellas, that were used by the students to shelter themselves against the police. Design is ultimately presented no merely as a formal act, but as an enabler of political action, communication and crowd intelligence.
