DAM Award for Architecture in Germany 2015

An annual exhibition returns, showcasing the best of German architecture over the past year. The award itself went to Bruno Fioretti Marquez for its reconstruction of Bauhaus Masters’ houses in Dessau, in which only the shell was rebuilt in concrete. Other notable projects includes Arno Brandlhuber’s deliberately rough Antivilla, Coop Himmelb(l)lau’s headquarters of European Central Bank, Peter Haimerl’s concert Hall in Blaibach (feaured in Icon 151), and Ackermann + Raff’s brick and bamboo high school in rural Myanmar.
