Making Place: The Architecture of David Adjaye

This mid-career survey of the Tanzania-born British architect will explore Adjaye’s distinct visual language, investigating his interest in precedents drawn from beyond the Western canon and his unique “Afropolitan” perspective. It spans furniture, housing, public buildings and masterplans, using drawings, models and building mock-ups. In addition, a specially commissioned film will present interviews with Adjaye’s collaborators, featuring an international roster of artists.
