Practice Makes Perfect: Kaare Klint’s School of Furniture

Known as the “grand old man” of contemporary Danish furniture, Kaare Klint’s teaching was essential to the international success of that very national design language during the second half of the 20th century. This exhibition explores Klint’s formative influence on some of the country’s most important architects and designers, and juxtaposes his approach with the ideologically contrasting Copenhagen School, mapping two very different didactic systems.
