Dan Flavin

As part of its series of one-room displays, Tate St Ives is presenting a 1987 work by Dan Flavin, dedicated to fellow American minimalist Donald Judd. The work comprises five T-shaped configurations of Flavin's signature fluorescent light tubes set against one wall. The shape is repeated in the five forms, but the colours change in the sequence: pink, red, yellow, blue and green. The Artist Rooms series includes a mix of contemporary and historic practitioners whose work responds or relates to the architecture of Tate St Ives.
