From Sketch to Structure

The Heinz Architectural Center at the Carnegie Museum of Art is celebrating that increasingly rare thing: the architectural sketch. With more than 100 original drawings, plans and models, this show presents the evolution from back-of-the-envelope or napkin scribble to full-blown client presentation. Highlights are Steven Holl's trademark watercolours, Richard Neutra's pencil sketches for the Los Angeles County Hall of Records and Lorcan O'Herlihy's red metal-clad residential complex Formosa 1140.
