Vienna, the Pearl of the Reich: Planning for Hitler

This show surveys Hitler's impact on the architecture and planning of Vienna, from the grand plans and embellishment of the city that followed the Nazi regime's arrival in 1938, to the defensive towers built as the Allies advanced in 1944. Vienna's situation is an interesting example of how architecture was used to exercise Nazi dominance and power (or the illusion of it).
