Horst: Photographer of Style

Fashion and high society photographer Horst P. Horst (1906-99) drew on the Bauhaus, surrealism, and classical sculpture for inspiration. A three-sided projection offers an immersive experience of Horst's forays into architectural and interiors, which saw him photograph the homes of Karl Lagerfeld, Yves Saint Laurent and Cy Twombly. Over 250 of the photographer's dramatically lit images, some previously unpublished, will be on show. The process behind his most famous image – the Mainbocher Corset – will be revealed through contact sheets, sketches, couture garments and camera equipment.
