Form through Colour: Josef Albers, Anni Albers and Gary Hume

Interaction of Colour, Josef Albers’ landmark colour theory book, is the inspiration behind Form through Colour, an exhibition in which textile company Christopher Farr reimagines key colour works by the Bauhaus artists Albers and his wife Anni, as well as YBA Gary Hume, in a series of hand-knotted rugs, tapestries and fabric installations. Rarely seen archive material from the Anni and Josef Albers Foundation and original work by Hume will accompany the textile pieces. Visitors will be able to test out their own colour perceptions in an app created by Yale University Press.
