Mackintosh Architecture: Context Making and Meaning

The Hunterian presents the often overlooked architectural practice of art nouveau artist and designer Charles Rennie Mackintosh (1868-1928). Assessing for the first time Mackintosh’s architectural output in the context of his practice with Honeyman and Keppie – a partnership which lasted for over ten years – Context Making and Meaning looks at the practice’s design process from inception to completion and the contractors, suppliers and clients who supported the delivery of their buildings. The show will tour to RIBA London and Liverpool in 2015 and a new online archive will be created.
