Louis Kahn: The Power of Architecture

The Power of Architecture explores the diverse output of one of the most influential architects of the twentieth century, Louis Kahn (1901-1974). Kahn’s entire architectural oeuvre including models, drawings and photographs is examined across six themes which embody his practice: City, Science, Landscape, House, Eternal Present and Community. Highlights of the exhibition include a 4m-high model of Kahn’s unrealised City Tower for Philadelphia (1952-7) and a screening of the film My Architect, directed by Kahn’s son, Nathaniel Kahn.
