Kazimir Malevich

In the first retrospective of Kazimir Malevich (1878-1935) for 25 years, the Tate focuses on the political circumstances that led the painter away from representation and towards the development of suprematism. The show draws together surviving works from the infamous 0.10: The Last Futurist Exhibition that first launched the genre and presents them alongside early landscapes, collaborations with architects and paintings produced during the artist’s much maligned return to figurative painting in later life.
