Mondrian and Colour

The Turner Contemporary’s summer exhibition explores the significance of colour in the early career of Piet Mondrian, the pioneer of abstract art. A selection of more than 40 works will show that Mondrian’s approach was not simply a mathematical exercise in form but also an attempt to express spirituality in painting. Mondrian and Colour is presented in partnership with Tate Liverpool, which is hosting the concurrent exhibition, Mondrian and his Studios: Abstraction into the World.
