Subversive Design

The Indo-Gothic Royal Pavilion in Brighton, former retreat of George IV, is hosting an exhibition of subversive, provoking and amusing objects. The 130 exhibits, often functionally and aesthetically flawed, are intended to challenge the relationship we have with daily objects, and come from the worlds of design, furniture and fashion — including works by Alexander McQueen, Grayson Perry, Vivienne Westwood and David Shrigley. The exhibition is divided into three sections: Big Issues, Form vs Function, and Subverting the Body.
