A pasticcio, or pastiche, is a work or style produced using a medley of fragments from other people’s work. British practice Caruso St John Architects, curators of the exhibition, combine projects from seven European architects – including Hild und K Architekten, Hermann Czech, Märkli Architekt, Knapkiewicz & Fickert and BIQ – to demonstrate how contemporary architecture has reacted to a “loss of quality and intimacy” as a consequence of globalisation. Dirk Somers of Bovenbouw, which takes part in the show, designed the sets.
