Architecture and Wine in Central Europe

A resurgence of winemaking in central Europe has led to a number of contemporary wineries in the region. Interpretations of context, tradition and the function of the typology have yielded visually dissimilar buildings, many becoming landmarks in the wine-growing countryside. Architecture and Wine in Central Europe exhibits plans and photographs of 38 wineries from eight countries — including Austria, Germany, Poland, and Czech Republic — with a rich wine history, and there will be tastings of the wines they produce.
