The Milanese gallery will open its warehouse of design to the public at the city’s furniture fair this month Nina Yashar, founder of cult Milanese gallery Nilufar, is opening the 1,500sq m warehouse that houses her collection of vintage and contemporary design. The move away from the gallery’s atmospheric home in Brera will give her admirable collection a new aspect, combining industrial architecture with scenography by Massimiliano Locatelli that pays homage to the city’s opera house Teatro alla Scala. Settings will juxtapose historic objects with works by the contemporary talent Yashar is celebrated for surfacing: including Michael Anastassiades, Lindsey Adelman and young Lebanese duo David/Nicolas.
