During the Milan furniture fair last week, the city was covered in posters saying "The newest Maarten Baas for only 99c". It turned out the Dutch designer's latest launch was an iPhone app.

Last year Baas exhibited Real Time in the Costume National gallery in Zona Romana. It consisted of three films where Baas presented some very imaginative ways of telling the time, using by actors to represent the advancing hours by performing different tasks.

This year Baas made an iPhone app out of one of the films – the Analog Digital Clock. Like the name suggests, it looks like a retro digital alarm clock but minutes and hours are advanced manually by people moving around the small bars that make up the numbers.

Originally produced as a gallery piece, it can now be downloaded to any iPhone for $0.99 from apple.
