Icon teams up with 100% Design and Picfair to find the next top architecture and design photographer

Icon magazine has teamed up with image-sharing and licensing platform Picfair to celebrate Elements of design, the theme for this year’s 100% Design. Everyone is invited to join the competition by uploading an image relating to one of three categories: home, workplace or architecture.

Have you snapped a photo of an architectural masterpiece during your travels, or do you walk past one on your way to your job? Do you work in a cutting-edge office environment full of Swiss cheese plants or are you obsessively neat, with an enviable collection of Scandi stationery? Or perhaps your camera skills are the talk of the town and you’re keen to get your work noticed? Then you should take the opportunity to join our Elements of design photography competition.

Judged by an expert panel of judges including Icon editor James McLachlan, 100% Design content editor and design critic Max Fraser, and Picfair director Benji Lanyado, the images must be submitted by 25 September. A selection of the best entries received so far will be exhibited during 100% Design at Kensington Olympia, between 20 and 23 September, so if you happen to snap a killer image inspired by the offerings at London Design Festival, you will still be able to submit your work. The overall best entry will be awarded a £500 cash prize, while the winner of each individual category will walk away with a 12-month subscription to Icon. Furthermore, all the winners will be featured in an upcoming issue of the magazine.
