Design Shanghai returns 27.02.17

The leading Asian design event takes place again in March with top names and global brands, as well as a new two-week festival

March marks the return of international design exhibition Design Shanghai. Between 8 and 11 March, close to 50,000 people from 70 countries will visit the Shanghai Exhibition Centre to see the latest products and innovations from more than 350 exhibitors.

The show will build on the success of last year by showcasing a cross-section of top international and homegrown talent. There will be two new halls – Workplace, and Kitchen and Bathroom Design – while the Collectible Design part of the show will occupy a dedicated area hosting one-off pieces by the late Zaha Hadid among others. The talks programme will feature an array of influential design stars, including Karim Rashid, Benjamin Hubert of Layer Studio, Bethan Laura Wood, André Fu and Paul Cocksedge.

Design Shanghai will also be joining forces with Shanghai Xintiandi this year to launch the Xintiandi Design Festival – a two-week celebration of design and creativity that will feature installations, pop-ups and parties.
