Icon asked a dozen experts and practitioners to nominate the people they think are, in some way, shaping the future. The resulting list of global talent is a snapshot that shows how young designers and architects are pushing the boundaries of their disciplines and trying to change the world

Moment Factory is a design and entertainment studio specialising in the conception and production of environments that combine video, lighting, architecture, interactivity and special effects to create unique experiences. With more than 300 completed projects since its inception in 2001, the firm has developed an integrated approach to urban spaces and entertainment, with clients such as Cirque du Soleil, Disney, Madonna, Sony Pictures, Microsoft, the city of Barcelona and the NFL. Moment Factory's motto is We Do It In Public. "Our focus is on collective experiences," it says. "Each of our projects draws from our passion to produce moments that bring people together in real spaces by creating immersive physical environments." The company has just unveiled its latest work at Los Angeles International Airport. It is a large scale multimedia system that plays images that evoke the magic and romance of travel and the iconography of Los Angeles on massive screens and structures.
