UK-based entrepreneur Doug Richard has launched School for Creative Startups, a programme that gives talented creatives the skills they need to turn their ideas into a real business.
With a "mission to bring business literacy to the world of design", Richard has assembled a team of industry experts including Anya Hindmarch, David Bailey, Natalie Massenet, Paul Smith and Icon’s editor Christopher Turner. The year-long course involves talks, workshops, business surgeries and networking opportunities.
The 2012 course begins in September and the deadline for applications is 15 August. Open evenings will take place on 27 June and 18 July at the Brick Box, Brixton and 19 July at Somerset House.
