Japanese T-shirt company Graniph has announced the finalists of their second annual international design award. 31 designs were chosen out of 15,000 entries. The competition is targeted at young designers, giving them the freedom to create whatever they want.

The battered edifice of Battersea Power Station in south London is the subject of a new controversy over its future use. Opposition is gathering against a new masterplan by Rafael Viñoly for the listed building and its 40 acre site, which has lain abandoned since its decommissioning in 1984.

Two New Stores For Phillip Lim

There are no windows in New York-based fashion designer Phillip Lim’s two new stores, one in Tokyo, the other in Los Angeles. Instead the facade of the Tokyo store is covered in frosted white glass, while the LA incarnation is enveloped in pillow-shaped concrete tiles.
